Freelance-Market now also in France
On 1st December 2011 the French branch of Freelance-Market (www.Freelance-Market.fr) under the direction of our franchisee Christian Sachs of La Ciotat near Marseilles. We congratulate Christian for his market entry!
The French market is particularly interesting because many employers would prefer contractors to avoid the problems deriving from the highly regulated French labor market. At the same time, there is a serious shortage of skilled labor, despite an unemployment rate of 9.1%. Unexpectedly, the market in the "Grande Nation" has hardly any professional freelancer agencies; so that many contractors and clients can only use foreign market places. These however manage France only as a side business.
During the current market launch, contractors who are also available for French buyers, can register free of charge at www.Freelance-Market.fr/inscription.
Besides Australia, Freelance-Market franchisees are currently operating in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand and now France. Should you be interested to run a Freelance-Market franchise in a country or market segment, please find more information at www.Freelance-Market.com.
Australia Freelance Market Christmas campaign for the childrens village Bona Espero
Our regular readers already know the Brazilian children's village Bona Espero from our Christmas donations in the recent years. Bona Espero is located in the Brazilian state of Goias, 230 km north of the capital, Brasilia. The focus of the children's village is on education and vocational training. Thus, the classes 1 to 4 are taught according to the national curricula while gifted children visit a secondary school in the nearby town.
Thanks to the help of many supporters, the site of the children's village has grown to 10 square kilometers. It contains the accommodations the school and fields for food production, which are used for own consumption. Bona Espero was established by the German-Italian couple Grattapaglia, who passionately cares for many years about the children who come from very poor families.
Also this year Freelance-Market likes to support the Children's Village Bona Espero. Please send your donations to our bank account with the bank transfer indication "Donation for Bona Espero". Get involved and give the children at Bona Espero future!
Management thesis targets translators from Australia Freelance Market
In her business management thesis, Heide Schmid developed a marketing concept for the language experts business of Freelance-Market. For this purpose, many of our interpreters and translators were interviewed.
Translators account for an important part of our introduced projects: Currently, over 40 translators are listed. They translate to, or from 20 different languages. First results of the study are expected in the coming weeks. We will of course keep you informed about the findings.

Registered contractors are welcome to present their business and services in a short article in this Freelance-Market-News. In this issue, we would like to introduce you to our Kenya-based writer no. 2726 who is listed for $40 per hour.

Since 2000, I have worked as a freelance journalist and writer in Kenya. Besides writing books, in the recent years I have also translated for large publishing houses. I translate from German to English and vice versa, in particular books on nutrition, sports and health. Recently, I translated the 390 page book "Out of Nowhere, The Inside Story of How Nike Marketed the Culture of Running" into German. In addition, I am also available to provide you with articles of all kinds, just based on your keywords or rough outline.

Contractor joke of the month
A business consultant complains about the project challenges with a former client: "For almost two months I have been trying to motivate the staff to get to work early in the morning; - without any success!"
His consulting colleague listens sympathetically and then tells him that he could solve the issue at that company within one week. "How could that work?", his frustrated colleague wants to know, "I have developed all types of incentives for the employees and we have even donated free car parking spots for each of the 50 employees; but nothing did work out!"
"My approach was very simple! This Christmas, I donated 10 of your parking spaces to the children's home nearby, so that only 40 parking spaces were left. Now everyone tries to be at work first!".
